Last week, on May 29, 2025, a previously announced concert was held on the occasion of the 90th birthday of renowned Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. His compositions were performed by the famous Estonian Phillharmonic Chamber Choir.
The Estonian Honorary Consulate in Slovakia, represented by Honorary Consul Peter Pochaba, participated in the organization of this musical event together with the Košice State Philharmonic.
The concert took place in the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth in Košice, and this beautiful and exceptional place certainly added to the greater musical experience. The church was sold out to the last seat.
The event was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia, Merle Pajula, who traveled from Vienna.
