On 11 June 2026, the Embassy of Estonia in Vienna hosted a Regional Conference of Estonian Honorary Consuls from Austria, Slovakia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Croatia. The conference was opened by Ambassador Arti Hilpus and Ambassador Jana Vanaveski.
The programme focused on key developments in Estonian foreign and security policy, the growing impact of artificial intelligence and autonomous technologies on Estonia’s economy, and practical experiences in economic diplomacy. Participants also exchanged views on opportunities to further strengthen Estonia’s visibility and business relations in their respective regions.
The conference provided an excellent platform for discussion, networking and sharing best practices among honorary consuls and representatives of the Estonian diplomatic service. The day concluded with a joint lunch hosted by the Estonian Embassies in Vienna and Prague.
