On March 25, 2025 the new composition of the Estonian Government was sworn in. The previous coalition government of three parties (Reform Party, Estonia 200, and Social Democrats) was dismissed a couple of weeks ago and now the next coalition will have just two parties – Reform and Eest 200.
Mr. Kristen Michal remains the Prime Minister, along with many of the previous Ministers. The new government will have 13 ministers, eight allocated to Reform, as the larger party, and five to Eesti 200. The new coalition has fewer female ministers. This time, there will be nine men and four women.
As of today, Estonia has five new Ministers: the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, the Minister of Energy and Environment, and the Minister of Infrastructure.

The total composition of the new Government is as follows:
- Prime Minister: Mr. Kristen Michal
- Minister of Foreign Affairs: Mr. Margus Tsahkna
- Minister of Finance: Mr. Jürgen Ligi
- Minister of Education and Research: Ms. Kristina Kallas
- Minister of Economy and Industry: Mr. Erkki Keldo
- Minister of Defence: Mr. Hanno Pevkur
- Minister of Culture: Ms. Heidy Purga
- Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs: Ms. Liisa-Ly Pakosta
- Minister of Interior: Mr. Igor Taro
- Minister of Energy and Environment: Mr. Andres Sutt
- Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture: Mr. Hendrik Johannes Terras
- Minister of Social Affairs: Ms. Karmen Joller
- Minister of Infrastructure: Mr. Kuldar Leis
The new government aims to build Estonia’s defence capability, develop competitive and innovation-based economy and make state administration more modern, efficient and business-friendly.
